Portfolio Sessions

Portfolio Sessions are a chance to take part in a beautifully styled photoshoot at a reduced rate while helping Simply Timeless Photography create fresh images for upcoming marketing and promotions, or to get examples of new backdrops or props.

What Are Portfolio Sessions?

Portfolio Sessions are offered when Simply Timeless Photography are updating their portfolio — for example, showcasing a new backdrop or prop, testing a seasonal setup, or creating fresh examples for future promotions. These sessions help us create beautiful, up‑to‑date imagery while giving families the chance to take part at a reduced rate.

A £25 retainer fee is required to secure your space.
This includes:

  • The Session.

  • One digital image of your choice.

  • Four additional images selected by us.

You’ll have the opportunity to view and purchase upgrades from your gallery if required. Any finished images from your session (including those you choose or purchase) may be used in our portfolio, website, or marketing materials

  • In the past, we offered free portfolio sessions while we were building our style and experimenting with new setups. As the business has grown, We’ve found that free sessions often attract people who are mainly looking for a freebie rather than families who genuinely love our work.

    Introducing a small fee helps ensure that the families who apply truly value what we create. It also covers the time, planning, and materials involved in preparing new backdrops, styled setups and reduces the chance of no-shows.

  • Portfolio Sessions are short, styled sessions created specifically to refresh our portfolio/ marketing materials. They focus on particular backdrops, colours, or setups we are in need of updating, and the flow of the session is guided by what we need for our portfolio. They include one image of your choice and four selected by us, with the option to purchase extras if wanted.

    Regular sessions are fully personalised, longer, and designed entirely around your family. You choose the styling, the pace, and the final images. These sessions include a full gallery and a wider range of poses, setups, and options.

    In short: Portfolio Sessions help us create new examples for our studio, while regular sessions are tailored completely to you.

  • Portfolio Sessions are designed around specific backdrops, colours, and styling. The application helps us match the right families to the right setups.

  • No. Your £25 retainer fee includes one image of your choice and four selected by us. Any additional purchases are completely optional.

  • These are selected by us to ensure they match the specific portfolio needs of the session.

  • We typically aim for around 15 proofs to choose from, but this is not guaranteed. It depends on the setup(s) and how well the session goes.

  • Yes! If you love more then you are more than welcome to buy extras. They are £20 each or we are offering discouned bundles. £75 for 5 images or £125 for 10 images. We also offer prints and wall art if required.

  • This depends on the specific setup. If you’d like to include others, please mention it in your application and we’ll do our best to include them.
